Serving Surrey Through Meaningful Programmes

The Clayton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses offers a range of free community programmes designed to strengthen individuals, families, and the broader Surrey community. All programmes are open to anyone — no membership, no fees, and no prior religious knowledge required. Our goal is to share practical, Bible-based wisdom that genuinely improves quality of life.

Public Bible Education Program

The Public Bible Education Program is the cornerstone of everything the Clayton Congregation does. Open to anyone in the Surrey community, this programme offers systematic, in-depth study of the Bible in a welcoming, non-judgmental environment.

Each week, our congregation meetings include a public Bible talk — a 30-minute presentation on a topic drawn directly from the Scriptures, ranging from family relationships and emotional health to prophecy and the meaning of current world events. These talks are designed to be accessible to first-time visitors with no Biblical background whatsoever.

In addition to our group sessions, we offer personalized one-on-one and family Bible studies conducted by trained members of our congregation at a time and location that suits each student.

  • Weekly public Bible talks at the Kingdom Hall
  • Personal and family study sessions available
  • Available in English, Punjabi, Tagalog, Mandarin & more
  • No cost, no obligation, no pressure

Family Bible Study Groups

Strong families form the backbone of a healthy community, and the Clayton Congregation is deeply committed to equipping Surrey families with the practical tools they need to thrive. Our Family Bible Study Groups bring together parents and children to explore Biblical guidance on the issues that matter most to families today.

Topics covered include: building trust and open communication between parents and teenagers; setting healthy boundaries with technology; navigating peer pressure and social media; managing conflict with respect and empathy; and applying Biblical wisdom to the everyday stresses of family life in a multicultural urban setting like Surrey.

Groups typically meet in small settings of 4–8 families, allowing for meaningful discussion and genuine mutual support. A trained facilitator guides each session, ensuring the conversations remain grounded in Biblical principles while remaining relevant to participants' real-life experiences.

  • Small-group format for personal interaction
  • Topics on parenting, marriage, and family communication
  • Open to families of all backgrounds and faiths
  • Available in multiple languages upon request

Youth Spiritual Development

Young people in Surrey face unprecedented pressures — from social media to academic stress to questions of identity and purpose. The Clayton Congregation's youth programmes address these challenges head-on with Biblical wisdom that is practical, honest, and age-appropriate.

Our youth programming includes structured study groups for teenagers exploring life's biggest questions, skill-building sessions focused on public speaking and personal expression, and mentorship relationships pairing young people with experienced, caring adult members of the congregation.

We believe every young person deserves a moral compass and a community of support. Our youth programmes are designed not to impose beliefs, but to equip young people with the tools to think critically, make good decisions, and navigate the complexities of modern life with confidence and integrity.

  • Age-appropriate programmes for children and teenagers
  • Public speaking and communication skill development

Neighbourhood Clean-Up

Several times per year, congregation members organize and lead neighbourhood clean-up events in the Clayton area — collecting litter, maintaining public spaces, and contributing to the beauty of our shared community. These events are open to all Surrey residents who wish to join.

Neighbour Assistance

Our members regularly assist elderly, disabled, or isolated neighbours with practical tasks — grocery shopping, lawn maintenance, snow removal, moving, minor home repairs — simply because it is the right thing to do. This is not a formal programme but a daily expression of genuine love for neighbour.

Elder Care Visits

Loneliness and social isolation among the elderly is a growing crisis in cities across Canada, including Surrey. Members of our congregation regularly visit isolated seniors — in their homes and in care facilities — to provide companionship, encouragement, and practical assistance.
